Dr. Pranitha Proddutuvar

Pranitha Proddutuvar, MD is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Care and Thoracic Oncology. Dr. Proddutuvar earned her medical degree from Government Medical College in Nagpur, India and completed her residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL . She completed a palliative care fellowship at the University of Chicago, her medical oncology fellowship at the University of South Alabama, and her advanced thoracic oncology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Prodduturvar has been practicing oncology for 4 years and specializes in thoracic oncology and melanoma. She is an expert at managing pain and other symptoms associated with cancer due to her background in palliative care. She believes that you should treat every patient as if they are family or a friend. They deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. “I view my primary responsibility is to empower my patients with adequate information, so that they can be an active part of shared decision making”.
Dr. Proddutuvar believes that oncology has been the most rapid evolving field in the last two decades and it challenges the physician to be a constant learner. Personalized treatment based on your cancer DNA means it’s not a one fits all approach. She enjoys the learning and finds it fascinating to combine pathology, genetics, and pharmacology together to deliver the best care to the patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, going to the gym, and watching movies.
She sees patients in our Lawrenceville office.
