Mirela Makarevic, FNP

Mirela Makarevic, FNP, is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with President's Honors– Chamberlain University. She then received her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Georgia.
Mirela describes her philosophy of care, “Every patient is unique. When caring for patients, the provider must see each patient as a whole. Physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional support and empathy are as important as medical treatment. I believe a holistic approach to patients' needs is necessary to meet them.
Mirela decided to enter the field of Oncology because, “I love helping people. Individual well-being has always been my goal. Even as a child, I remember always wanting to be a nurse or a doctor and trying to make others feel better. When I lost my father to a brain aneurysm when I was fifteen years old, the need to help others became even more substantial.”
Mirela treats every patient as a unique person and with respect. She prides herself on always taking the time to listen to her patients carefully so she can provide the best possible care.
In her spare time she enjoys running, reading, singing, and spending time with her friends and family.
Mirela sees patients in our Lawrenceville office and our Hamilton Mill office on Fridays.
